Mr. Esfandi is President of MSD Capital (Europe), LLP. He became a Partner of MSD in January 2010. He joined MSD in February 2006 to establish the firm’s London office and manage a European portfolio investing in undervalued and distressed securities across the capital structure. From 2003 to 2006, Jonathan was a Vice President at Lone Star Funds, a private equity partnership, responsible for European corporate distressed debt opportunities. Prior to that, Jonathan was a distressed debt research analyst at Guy Butler, a specialist brokerage firm. He started his career at Deutsche Bank as a financial analyst in the Investment Banking division. Jonathan received his BA Hons degree from Manchester University in European Studies and Modern Languages in 1998.
