Mr. Frank joined MSD in October 2008 to establish and manage a portfolio focused on investing in equity and debt securities of energy-related companies. He became a Partner of MSD in January 2012. From 2005 to 2008, Brian was with Cumberland Associates, a long-short hedge fund in New York. Beginning in 2006, he managed an energy portfolio, and he became a Cumberland Member (Partner) at the end of 2007. Prior to 2005, Brian worked in a strategy role at Harman International, as a Principal in the private equity group at WR Hambrecht + Co and as an investment banking analyst at Lazard Freres. Brian received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 1999 and graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University in 1995 with a B.A. in Government.
